Tuba in the Orchestra: The Stand Sheet
Seven things to remember when you sit down in the tuba section, on a free A5 card sized for the folder: tuning, speaking early, breathing low, a clear bottom, centring the pitch, being the only one, and playing by sight.
Print it and it lives in the front of your folder; save it to your phone and it is there at the rehearsal break. It is free, and there is nothing to sign up for.

The chord is tuned down to you. The instrument speaks slowly, so start early. Breathe more than you think, and breathe low. Keep the bottom clear. Centre the pitch with your ear. You are usually the only one. Ensemble is a matter of sight.
